Using a single video instead of multiple sponsor images to advertise on your scoreboard

I'd prefer to create ONE Video displaying ALL of our Sponsor Ads

Your Solid system is designed to Play all Sponsor Ads that are in one folder.
This system should remain "simple", as we recognise that multiple club volunteers are likely to be involved.

These can be JPGs, PNGs or even short videos (saved as WMV video files).
Logos can be managed either via the scoreboard PC, or from your home or office remotely.
Keeping this SIMPLE is our main priority.
  1. If a sponsor drops off, you delete the logo. Or move it to a HOLD folder.
  2. If a new sponsor appears this week you drop the logo into the Ad folder
  3. Other very simple logo control is:
    1. If you want them to display in a specific order, just add numbers to the file names
    2. If a major sponsor deserves more attention, add multiple copies (see above, Bendigo Bank listed twice)
IF you prefer to convert all of your current logos into a SINGLE fancy video (maybe with special effects & transitions) then this is fine.
 Just be aware to:
  1. Scale it to your exact LED screen pixel size (check with Solid if unsure). If you save it as 4K you could have problems.
  2. Keep it short. The Solid system is not expecting a 30 minute Simpsons clip here (there are better options if this is what you want).
As your Support Crew, these are our concerns SHOULD YOU choose to use ONE video file for Sponsor Ad use:
  1. Understand that YOU have committed:
    1. to carry out any manipulation of this video file
    2. to thoroughly test this file before game-day
  2. If a new sponsor appears close to game-day it will be a struggle to add the sponsor
  3. Consider the PLAN:
    1. If you are away for this week
    2. If you tell the club to get stuffed
    3. If another club using the scoreboard needs to change an ad, ie. the junior club
    4. If a bus hits you
As you can probably recognise, our advice here at Solid is to keep it simple for everyone at the club (especially YOU).
But, don't forget. If you do use a "video", and you get in a pickle - Call us on 03 9708 2992 - We'll do our BEST to help out :)
