Reconnecting your RF remote controls

RF remote control not working 2025 - Bowls example

Sometimes your scoring system might lose it's connection to your RF remote controls. This is more frequent if your scoring PC is unplugged on a regular basis.
Typically these are either small FOB-style remotes, or the larger long range weather-proof remotes (with a rubber boot).
To reconnect the remotes:
  1. Click on the cog icon in the Solid app  Followed by the RF scoring button
  2.   Click the [Yes] button
  3. Click on the [What's available?] button  This will show the available Comm ports...
  4. If "What's available" shows a different port, then change the Comm Port (bottom left). If you do, then save changes, then close and reopen the program.
    1. If there are multiple ports showing then you need to confirm which port is home for your RF receiver box.
    2. Take note of the available ports (ie. 3,4,7)
    3. Unplug your RF receiver, repeat the [What's available] test.  Note which port disappears (this will be the port to select).
    4. Plug your RF receiver back in. Select that port.
    5. Save this, close the app, reopen the app.
  5. If the remote/s are still not working then re-enter this area and press [Test Connection]
  6. A prompt will tell you to Click-now to close this window and THEN PRESS A BUTTON ON ANY REMOTE
  7. If the system sees this button press then you will see
  8. Close this window - close the program - reopen it
  9. Test that the remote is working
  10. If NOT - then call Solid for support on 03 9708 2992   (7am-7pm, 7 days)
